Environment.
Offset printing is a chemical and material-intensive process. We do not pretend otherwise. What we commit to is operating that process responsibly — measuring our impact, minimising what we can, and improving every year. Our environmental policy is the framework that makes that commitment real.
Responsible material sourcing
We prioritise paper and board substrates from suppliers who operate under credible environmental certification programmes. Ink and chemical suppliers are evaluated not only on performance but on their environmental management practices. We aim to reduce the number of hazardous substances used in our production process year on year.
Waste management
Production waste is segregated at source into categories: paper and board off-cuts, ink and solvent waste, general waste, and hazardous waste. Paper and board off-cuts are baled and sent for recycling. Ink and solvent waste is collected and disposed of exclusively through licensed hazardous waste contractors. Disposal certificates are retained.
Chemical and solvent control
Wash-up solvents are managed under a closed system wherever possible to minimise evaporation and worker exposure. We track solvent consumption per press per period and set reduction targets. Isopropyl alcohol use in dampening systems is monitored and replaced with low-IPA alternatives on eligible presses.
Energy consumption
We track electricity consumption across our production facility on a monthly basis. Annual targets for reduction per unit produced are set by management and reviewed quarterly. Lighting upgrades, machine standby protocols, and press warm-up scheduling are among the operational measures already implemented.
Regulatory compliance
We comply with all applicable Algerian environmental regulations governing industrial printing and packaging operations. Environmental performance is reviewed at management level on a biannual basis. Any regulatory breach is treated as a serious non-conformance and investigated under our corrective action procedure.
